  • The Primer is an introductory document for managers and leaders to get familiar with the issue and basics of the Business and Human Rights Agenda. It aims to help individuals and companies to get familiar with the issue at hand and to help them to have a greater understanding of roles and responsibilities they have.

    The Primer responds to the request from business as well as development practitioners and designed for any business and / or industry at any stage in its business cycle, operating anywhere in the world. The primary audience is business from and operating in India – both state owned as well as private. The Primer was financially aided by Global Compact Network India and developed by Partners in Change.

  • Explicitly designed for NGOs, this toolkit offers a practical guidance for NGOs to conceptualize, build and strategize their engagement with Businesses for sustainable partnerships. The toolkit, funded by Cordaid, aims to provide a simple framework and some practical tools that NGOs can take to build their partnerships with business. It provides direction to address the following concerns:

  • The toolkit, funded by Cordaid, aims to offers practical guidance for companies to develop strategies and actions that build on their existing philanthropic activities in a way that it is aligned with good global practices and principle of “respect of human rights” by companies. The toolkit follows from our earlier publication “Human Rights and Business: A primer for business in India”.

    The toolkit aims to provide a simple approach that can easily be applied by companies from all sectors. It has been developed in consultation with a number of companies across India to increase its ability to be relevant and easily applicable to a wide range of businesses seeking to improve their community programs.
