Embedding CSR

We promote integration of corporate responsibility issues into business decision making across its sphere of influence, in association with its stakeholders by providing technical assistance to companies in:

  1. Strategizing and Evolving sustainable CSR Policies and programmes.
  2. Developing sustainable supply chains.
  3. Reviewing and strategizing the corporate community investment.
  4. Facilitating Stakeholder Engagement Process.
  5. Producing Sustainability Reporting on GRI G3 Guidelines.

Building Partnerships

Acting as a Partnership broker as well as a mentor, PiC assist in fostering multi-stakeholder partnerships between companies, NGOs, community, government and other like minded national and international organizations that can help in achieving an enabling environment for responsible business. We provide technical assistance in:

  1. Planning and Designing community involvement programme.
  2. Identify opportunities for cross sector partnerships.
  3. Implementing and managing the partnership cycle.

Training and Capacity Building

For Companies: Partners in Change offers customized training programmes to provide companies a systematic approach to achieve CSR interventions at a sustainable level. These training programmes might be, but not limited to:

  • Capacity Building workshops to build competencies and capacities of company staff for effective implementation of CSR initiatives
  • Training and sensitization workshops on social development issues
  • Training on stakeholder engagement and developing sustainable supply chain.
  • Embedding human rights into core business operations
  • Building and managing partnerships

For NGOs: PiC also offers the customized training programmes for NGOs to provide them a systematic approach to conceptualize and strategize their engagement with business. This includes training programme on partnership management, capacity building on NGO Business engagement and to create wider awareness about various issues across CSR.

Networking and Alliance Building

PiC provides opportunities and platform to promote responsible business practices within SAARC countries, through the establishment of networks and alliances on CSR.

CSR Research and Publication

To create wider awareness and to keep abreast of latest trends of CSR initiatives, PiC conducts various researches and surveys and disseminates information to partners. These may be accessed from PiC’s Resource Centre situated at Delhi office.

National CSR Surveys: PiC has been conducting National Survey on Corporate Responsibility in India to capture the level of CR activities of companies and to assess the linkage of these activities to the business case. Pioneering the first survey in 1997, PiC have conducted four surveys on the state of CR in India and every survey move forwarding a step further with industry specific, sector specific or across issues.

Sector Specific Researches: PiC has been conducting researches on CSR practices across various sectors such as tea, coffee, garment, mining, spices, IT etc.

Thematic CSR Researches: PiC has also conducted surveys on CSR policies and practices on international companies in India, aggregate reporting, adoption and practice of CSR standards and codes among Indian Companies etc.

Guiding Resources: PiC has also published guiding toolkits for companies and NGOs on managing partnerships. Other initiatives included Primer on Business and Human Rights and Primer on Achievement of MDGs.
